ITI Glass' new Glassrobots tempering furnace, one of the hallmarks of the company’s Bel Aire, Kansas facility is in full operation.

Glassrobots technicians began installing the furnace in October. The furnace produced its first shipment of tempered glass in November. The new tempering system will allow ITI Glass to temper larger lites of glass -- up to 98-1/2 x 180 inches.

With enhanced controls and state-of-the-art technology, the company will also produce higher quality heat-treated glass with fewer visible distortion lines and superior quality soft coated low-e glass.

Glassrobots, based in Finland, is a leading manufacturer of quality tempering furnaces.
